Julian Chambliss is an English professor at Michigan State University who studies comic books. "I'm particularly interested in race, space and power," says Chambliss. "Examining comics through a scholarly lens can tell us about who we are, and a lot of my research provides context to why comics matter."

Julian C. Chambliss is Associate Professor of history at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. He received his B.S. degree in History with honors from Jacksonville University and his M.A. and Ph.D. in United States History at the University of Florida (Gainesville).
