I’m grateful for the invitation from University of Kansas to speak. I took the opportunity to sketch out the implication of Mapping Black Imaginaries and Geographies (Mapping BIG). My hope is that Mapping BIG will be a defining element of my DH work and bring together my concerns about race, community, and power in manner that take advantage of the possibilities offered by digital humanities.
